GOALS AND MEASUREMENT PLAN

STUDENT ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

OUR GOAL 

90% of students who have attended the CLEC will be at grade level in literacy and math based upon assessments.

MEASUREMENT 

Regular assessments, including pre- and post-program assessments, using standardized tests such as the DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills) and the Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Achievement. Data will be analyzed to track progress over time and inform program improvement.

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

OUR GOAL

Improved social-emotional development and personal growth among children in the Compton community.

MEASUREMENT 

Regular assessments using standardized tools such as the Devereux Student Strengths Assessment (DESSA) and the Social Emotional Assessment (SEA). Data will be analyzed to track progress over time and inform program improvement.

FAMILY EMPOWERMENT

OUR GOAL 

Empowered families who are equipped to support their children's education.

MEASUREMENT

Surveys and focus groups with families to assess the level of engagement and understanding of the program and its impact on their children's education. Data will be analyzed to track progress over time and inform program improvement.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

OUR GOAL

Increased community engagement and investment in early childhood education.

MEASUREMENT

Surveys and focus groups with community leaders and stakeholders to assess the level of engagement and understanding of the program and its impact on the community. Data will be analyzed to track progress over time and inform program improvement.

Reduction in Early Childhood Literacy Gap

OUR GOAL

Improved educational outcomes and reduced early childhood literacy gap in the Compton community.

MEASUREMENT

Regular assessments using standardized tests, such as the DIBELS and the Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Achievement, and comparison with data from other early childhood programs in the Compton community. Data will be analyzed to track progress over time and inform program improvement.
